The Wabash Ave. Wholecut Oxford No. SE14 – Special Edition
Often considered the most formal men’s shoe available, the Goodyear Wholecut features closed channel lacing and is made from a single cut of leather.
This limited edition is made from high-grade crust calf. The leather is hand-painted and finished by our artisans with the impeccable Phobos Cezanne patina.
An intense black base with shades of lime and honey masterfully mixed using brushes and sponges.
The pair features a cognac leather outsole and full-calf brown inner lining.
It’s produced using our most famous shoe last, the Zurigo last, which features a round toe for a classic English look.
Original Goodyear welted using traditional techniques, they feature our classic leather sole. And it’s no coincidence that we chose the leather sole for this particular shoe: having the slimmest profile it’s often considered the dressiest of all them. Besides that, it’s hardwearing, flexible, practical, long-lasting, and beautiful.
What to say about the last? Used on some of our most refined hand-finished shoes, the “Savile” shoe-last is the result of many rounds of refinement to create the perfect men’s formal last. Featuring a soft chisel toe and a long elegant vamp, this is a great go-to last for any classic suit shoe.
